With the recent impacts of Covid-19 to our work environments, our virtual learning platforms have become more important than ever before. Through creative design, we have run virtual learning experiences for structured team development programmes and individual themed workshops. We are also using our virtual learning platforms to run leadership development programmes, where specific cohorts travel together on a virtual learning journey over a set period of time.

With our experience designing and delivering interactive virtual experiences, we have found that even when remote and using technology, we can:

• Create workshops that are interactive and fun

• Use different tools to support teamwork and creative learning experiences

• Dial up participation and use lots of different ways to hear from people and create conversations inside a session

• Provide platforms and breakout rooms where people feel safe to share and are willing to open up and have real, intimate conversations

• Have some laughs and translate games into the vibe of the sessions

Virtual learning experiences are highly accessible for most, and are a cost effective way to run learning experiences with no travel, venue or catering fees. They can also increase transfer of learning with personal space to reflect and unwind post workshop.
